Our goal at Joint Preservation Institute has always been to provide the most comprehensive set of treatment options available anywhere under the care of one physician. That includes nonsurgical treatment options such as bracing, physical therapy, as well as injections of corticosteroids, hyaluronic preparations and platelet rich plasma. For those patients who have persistent pain, Dr. Jamali's approach has been to determine the optimal surgical procedure that will have the highest likelihood of addressing all of their symptoms.

Hip pain can be very confusing at times. It can be manifested as a result of disease involving multiple sites including the lumbar spine, the skin, fascia, and muscles around the hip, or the joint itself. The key to successful treatment is making the right diagnosis. That comes with experience as well as attentive listening to the patient and selection of the appropriate tests.
Once the diagnosis is been made, only then can the appropriate treatment be selected.

The pages to follow, we have reviewed the most common diagnoses pertaining to the hip are seen in our clinic.

These include labrum tears, femoroacetabular impingement, developmental dysplasia, articular cartilage tears, avascular necrosis, and osteoarthritis.
